About Excel Basketball Camp
Excel Basketball Camp was founded in 1981 by Coach Frank Allocco, Sr. . Coach Allocco's vision was to create a basketball camp that would teach the fundamentals of basketball to players from "coast to coast." Coach drew upon his experience as a youth coach, high school coach, and collegiate coach to provide a program that would teach the game of basketball and the positive values of Teamwork, Sportsmanship, and Commitment to Excellence both on and off the court. For 43 years, Excel has been a cornerstone in the hundreds of thousands of lives motivated and mentored by our passionate staff. The Camp is dedicated to the many coaches who inspired coach to be more, particularly Coach Ara Parseghian, Coach Digger Phelps, and Coach Stu Aberdeen.

Excel is part of my foundation as a player and as a coach, one of the most influential experiences in my life. The coaches of Excel have been like family to me since I was 10 years old! After working in the NBA for three different teams, it’s never been more evident: Excel is the best basketball Camp in the country, run by the most passionate coaches in the world. With an emphasis on fundamentals and creating habits, Excel gives you the tools to be successful as a basketball player, and as a person.”– Greg St. Jean: Assistant Coach, Dallas Mavericks
